Google Pixel 2 XL goes on sale in India today

“The Google Pixel 2 has already gone on sale in India and can be picked from Flipkart”
After launching the Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL (review) in India on October 27th, Google had announced that while Google Pixel 2 would be made available starting November 1st, the Pixel 2 XL would go on sale from November 15th. The day is finally here as the larger of the duo – the Pixel 2 XL – is now available to purchase across the country starting today.
Just like Pixel 2, the XL variant will be available online exclusively on Flipkart, and at Reliance Digital, Croma, Poorvika, Sangeetha Mobiles, Vijay Sales and other retail outlets across the country. Being offered in hues of Just Black and Black and White, the 64 GB variant will set you back by Rs 73,000 and the 128GB costs Rs 82,000. The brand has also confirmed in an earlier statement that the device will come with an extended warranty of two years, which is welcome news.
Coming to the spec sheet, the stock Android Oreo running smartphone comes with a 6-inch QHD+ bezel-less display with an aspect ratio 18:9. The performance side of things is taken care of by a 2.35GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, accompanied by 4GB of RAM. As mentioned above, the handset is being offered in two variants of 64GB and 128GB. The camera department on the device includes a 12.2-megapixel primary snapper with f/1.8 aperture, Dual Pixel autofocus and OIS, whereas, there is a f/2.4 8-megapixel shooter on the front. The glass sandwich design of the handset has been IP67 certified for dust- and water-resistance. In a first from the brand, the device also comes with an e-SIM slot, which allows you to connect to different carriers without needing to insert a SIM card. There is a nano-SIM card slot on board as well. On the battery front, the device sips power from a 3,520mAh unit.
The Pixel 2 on the other hand, has the same spec sheet, albeit with a smaller 5-inch full HD display and 2,700mAH battery. With the new release, both Pixel 2 devices are now available in India.
