Moto X4 India launch: Specifications, expected price

 Motorola is finally all set to launch its Moto X4smartphone in India. The smartphone was previously scheduled to launch on October 3 in the country but later postponed the date. Recently it was revealed that the device will be arriving on November 13. It is worth mentioning that Moto X4 was introduced at IFA 2017 conference in early September.

Moto X4 expected price

Although the company has confirmed the handset will be arriving exclusively at Flipkart, it has not yet given a word on the pricing of the smartphone. We also know the specifications of the smartphone as it was launched months ago outside India. Based on the specifications, the handset is likely to fall in the mid-range segment. It could cost under Rs 20,000.

Moto X4 specifications

Majority of the specifications of Moto X4 orbit around that of the Moto G5 Plus (priced at Rs 13,000). However, there are some minor upgrades under the hood.

The smartphone sports 5.2-inch full HD display with 1080x1920 pixels resolution and a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass. It is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 processor with Adreno 508 GPU. The processor is clubbed with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage which can be expanded up to 2TB by inserting a microSD card.

The USP of the smartphone is its dual rear camera setup. The device includes 12MP dual autofocus pixel sensor + 8MP ultra wide-angle sensor with 120-degree field of view. The 12MP camera comes with f/2.0 aperture, while the 8MP sensor has f/2.2 aperture.

At the time of the launch, the company claimed that the smartphone can click images with depth detection and depth effects. It is also capable of recording slow-motion videos, shoot in Panorama, and Manual mode among other modes.

There is also a 16MP front camera with f/2.0 aperture and a dedicated LED flash. The selfie camera can shoot images in 4MP low-light mode, Face filters, Beautification Mode and Professional mode. The smartphone also has the ability to shoot videos in 4K resolution (30 fps).

The Moto X4 packs a 3000mAh battery which also supports 15W TurboPower. The company claims that the smartphone can deliver six hours of power with 15 minutes of charging.

Although the smartphone is available in two colour options, Super Black and Sterling Blue, we are not yet sure if both the variants will launch in India.
